IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division summed up the implementation of the Program of environmental policy for the first quarter

IDGC of Centre pays much attention to environment. The branch spent 770 thousand rubles on the activities under the Program of environmental policy in the 1st quarter 2012. The main tasks in the implementation of environmental programs were the primary organization of recording waste, logging of formation and movement of waste, making in compliance the locations of soil pollution, the implementation of environmental inspections in subdivisions.

Also, training was provided to managers and responsible people for the right to work with hazardous waste. In March 51 employees of Smolenskenergo among managers and specialists were trained for the right to work with hazardous waste. They are specialists of logistics and procurement Office, managers and specialists of mechanization and transport Service, executives of Districts of Electrical Networks, managers and specialists of production and technical groups of Districts of Electrical Networks. That training is mandatory in order to ensure environmental safety at facilities of the branch. Upon completion of training the employees were issued certificates for the right to work with hazardous waste. Increasing the level of environmental safety allows to take environmentally correct management decisions and to continually improve the environmental situation at the production sites of Smolenskenergo.

IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division operates under the current draft standards for maximum allowable emissions of air pollutants and draft standards for waste formation and limits on their storage.
