Tambov Museum of Power System took part in the museological readings

IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division made a presentation of the report on the main stages of the electrification of the Tambov region at the IV Museological readings “History of the XX century in Tambov museums” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the region.

The conference was organized by Department of Culture and Archives of the Tambov region and Tambov regional museum. More than 50 participants from state, municipal, departmental, school and private museums in the city of Tambov and the region filed their participation in the program of the IV Museological readings.

The Museum’s materials at the conference revealed the interesting pages of the history of the region, the economy and industry, education and culture. Personal collections, collected by museums, allowed to meet with the honorable citizens of Tambov, renowned countrymen and ordinary citizens who made a worthy contribution to the prosperity of their native land.

The presentation of the branch “Electrification of the Tambov region (1937-2012)” reflected the development of the energy industry from the first high-voltage transmission lines and the commissioning of hydroelectric power stations to the modern stage of development of Tambovenergo, construction of new substations of various voltage classes.

Tambovenergo has established partnership with the Tambov regional museum. A significant aspect of participation in the conference was an active interaction with the museum’s staff led by Director Andrey Chilikin, who provided a weighty methodological assistance.

As a result of the readings it is planned to publish a collection of articles of the IV Museological readings “History of the XX century in Tambov museums”, which will soon be published. The composition of the collection will include the article “The Electrification of the Tambov region (1937-2012)”. The publication will be kept in the museum of history of the Tambov power system.
