Ostrovsky District of Electrical Networks (DEN) of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division is 50 years old. On this occasion the branch held a ceremony in which many employees were awarded letters of thanks and diplomas.
Head of Human Resources Office of the branch Nadezhda Muravyeva stressed: “Today, Ostrovsky DEN — a well-consolidated, professional team of associates. Its employees have extensive industry experience. DEN plays a significant role in the economy of the region, ensures a reliable electricity supply to industry and agriculture, has a great social responsibility”.
Head of the municipal district of Ostrovsky Galina Polyakova continued this thought: “Power engineers not only ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to the district, but also participate in social projects, help educational institutions and its residents”.
Ostrovsky DEN pays particular attention to the veteran organization — those who stood at the origins of the power system creation. After crediting such names as A.N Antonov, N.V. Tsvetkov, G.I. Gurov, V.F. Skvortsov, V.D. Protasov, A.I. Gruzdev, K.P. Demidov, Nadezhda Muravyeva particularly focused attention on the fact that the positive experience, which has been handed down from generation to generation of the power engineers, today is the key to successful work of the team of Ostrovsky DEN and success of our common business — to ensure reliable and trouble-free operation of electrical grids of Ostrovsky district. The representative of the Council of Veterans of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division Tatyana Dvoryantseva proudly noted: “An invaluable contribution to the operation of Ostrovsky DEN was given by the employees who are now retired. In the most difficult conditions, holidays and weekdays, day and night in any weather they repaired power lines and substations, as soon as possible removed faults”.
For the festive event the management of Ostrovsky DEN held a children’s painting contest on the theme “Electricity around us”. Pupils of the 8th, 6th, 5th grade of Ostrovsky High School and the circle “Funny colors” of the Children’s Art Center participated in it. A committee of eight workers and formen of Ostrovsky DEN presented winners in different age categories with gifts. The ceremony, which took place in the culture centre of the settlement, presented not only the children’s drawings, but also the creative works of power engineers: paintings on birchbark, beadwork, embroidery on fabric, wood carvings, paintings made of straw.
“Light and warmth come into homes and enterprises as natural as air. But we all know that it is the result of labor, hard, continuous, coordinated work of hundreds of specialists of the energy sector. This is the result of your work. Each emergency situation is through your heart, and only you know how much effort, experience and patience is behind your trouble-free energy supply to our customers. And on this festive day, first of all, I want to thank you for your hard work!”- summed up Nadezhda Muravyeva.
