Deputy General Director for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer of IDGC of Siberia Evgeny Mitkin and Head of technical operation of operation, maintenance and repair department Alexander Gammel had a working visit at IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division. During the visit, the power engineers visited a number of energy facilities and several Districts of Electrical Networks of the branch.

The main purpose of the visit was to exchange experience on the functioning of the SAP ERP system and software products used in the work of operators of operational and technological Office (OTO) of Belgorodenergo: operational and information Scada systems, system of multiple display, an electronic log. Particular attention was paid by the guests to the practical work methods in the maintenance module PM of SAP ERP, which was started in to be implemented at IDGC of Siberia in 2010.

Also during the visit the guests learned the principles of the customer-centric policy of IDGC of Centre, visited the Grid Control Center of the branch, where is the constant monitoring of operation modes of electrical equipment of 0.4 −110 kV is done. The colleagues were presented a modern, equipped with the latest technology standard mobile crew vehicle — “Mitsubishi L200”, remote control of new smart electricity meters from a control point at Belgorod District of Electrical Networks was demonstrated in practice.

The delegation got to know the results of a pilot project to implement the electric distribution management system of Telvent DMS, based on modelling modes of electrical networks and that allows to prevent failures and minimize risks in case of their inevitability.

“The experience of Belgorod branch of IDGC of Centre, which constantly implement and perfects new technologies, proved to be very useful for us” — said Chief Engineer of IDGC of Siberia Evgeny Mitkin. “We have been demonstrated new equipment, which allows in real-time to react to outages in the 6 −110 kV grid, to increase the observability of 0.4 −110 kV distribution networks, to minimize operating costs and reduce the costs of electricity not supplied.
