The results of the regional stage of the Russian contest «Best Manager of the structural unit — 2011». In the category «Power Industry» winner was Head of Human Resources Office of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division Gennady Demekhin.
In Kurskenergo Gennady has been working for more than 38 years. Since 2007 he has been Head of Human Resources of the branch. He is also one of the developers of the program for support and development of human resources of IDGC of Centre.
Under the leadership of Gennady Demekhin the Kursk branch of the Company is implementing a package of measures to attract and retain young professionals, new ways of working with the staff are being implemented and perfected. Such measures promote sustainable rejuvenation of the team of Kurskenergo.
Working with staff, the implementation of social policy in Kurskenergo has been repeatedly marked with awards at various levels. In 2009, the branch received the «Certificate of trust to the employer», certifying that the company was entered in the register of employers who respect labor rights of employees for sure. In 2011 Kurskenergo entered the top three companies at the regional stage of the All-Russian Contest «Russian Organization of High Social Efficiency» in the nomination «For the development of human resources in companies of the production sector».

Russian contest «Best Manager of the structural unit» has been held under the project «Manager of the Year» since 1997. The organizers of the contest are the Free Economic Society of Russia and the International Academy of Management with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Russia. The contest is held in two phases.
The main goal of the contest is to identify the most successful managers of structural units of organizations and enterprises, improvement of efficiency of management of the economic complex of the region.
