Smolenskenergo repair program will exceed 164 million rubles in 2012

12.03.2012

In 2012 Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Center will have to perform an impressive amount of work. Specialists plan to repair 270.5 km of 110 kV overhead power lines, 680.3 km of 35 kV power lines, 497.4 km of 6-10 kV and 229.3 km of 0.4 kV distribution networks. Clearing of ROWs along 110 kV overhead lines is planned in the amount of 681.5 hectares, 35 kV overhead lines — 1529.3 ha, 6-10 kV overhead lines — 1128.7 ha. 405 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV will be also repaired. Funding of the repair program of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division in 2012 will exceed 164 million rubles.

«The repair campaign in 2012 is being carried out mainly in the same direction as in previous years. However, in 2012 great attention is paid to clearing of ROWs along 6-110 kV overhead power lines. Along with this, an important focus of our work is to replace the old porcelain support-rod insulators for glass, polymer and others», — said Head of Analysis and Production Management Office of Smolenskenergo Vitaly Golubkov.

In 2011 a comprehensive repair of 19 substations of 35-110 kV is planned, the most important of which are «Pochinok», «Pervomaiskaya», «Sapsho» and «Horoshovo». In 2011 specialists repaired 21 substations of 35-110 kV with the total capacity of 139.7 MVA. The repair of substations will be carried out throughout 2012, but most repair works will be implemented in summer months.

The performance of the maintenance campaign qualitatively and in time allows power engineers to ensure an effective operation and development of the electric grid in the region. In carrying out repair works at power facilities, Smolensk power engineers use modern technologies and materials, thanks to which lifetime of the equipment increases and costs for scheduled maintenance are reduced.
