Tverenergo — for an open and constructive dialogue

09.02.2012

IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division met with representatives of the media. The reason for the event was a major regional stage of the All-Russian contest of journalistic works “Electric networks” conducted by IDGC Holding. It presents the audience with the most talented and interesting works in the field of business journalism, giving coverage of the electric grid complex, opens up new and promising media names, including in the Tver region.

During the meeting, journalists were able to get to know the conditions and nominations of the contest, as well as learned about the main directions of the branch’s activity, topical issues in the field of energy, which are important and interesting for the residents of Tver and the Tver region. Experts of Tverenergo told representatives of leading media in the region about the features of technological connection to the grid of the branch, about the interaction of Tver power engineers with customers and about Customer Service Centers (CSC), the operation of the branch in the autumn-winter period and repair performance indicators, the functions of the Grid Control Center (GCC) and about the structure of operational and technological Service.

The journalists were especially impressed with the film, which told the history of the Tver energy system. It reflects the main stages of the industry, war time, rapid development of the utilities in the 60s, and the prospects for a new time. Through the film, the media representatives were able to find out how it all began, and see all the stages of the industry reforming.

One of the most memorable moments for the participants of the meeting was an opportunity to get acquainted with the organization of the operation in the Grid Control Center. The journalists were able to see the technical equipment of the GCC, which includes the video wall, a central receiving and transmitting station and modern communications and telecommunications. The participants of the press meeting were told about the responsible work of operators who manage the work of mobile crews and monitor the situation in the region.

The final stage of the event was a trip to the 110/35/10 kV substation “North”, equipped with new modern equipment: current-limiting reactors, gas-insulated and vacuum circuit breakers, protective panels and a supervisory control panel.

According to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division director Alexander Eyst such press meetings contribute to the formation of a competent view of the media on the theme of the electric grid operation in the region. In Tver journalism there are a lot of talented writers who with their creative activity contribute to positive processes in the energy sector, express bright, non-trivial opinions and judgments on such major topics as the state of electrical networks, the prospects for the development and features of the activities to ensure reliable and quality power supply.

Tverenergo always aims at a constructive and open dialogue, both with consumers and with the media. For all matters relating to the activities of the branch, you may have consultations by calling the 24/7 Direct Power Hot Line of IDGC of Centre at 8-800-50-50-115 (toll free).
