Smolenskenergo is investing more than 1.1 billion rubles in the electric grid of the region in 2012

In 2012 IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division plans to invest in the modernization and reconstruction of the electric grid of the branch more than one billion rubles, in the construction of new power facilities — 141 million rubles, in purchasing power grid facilities — 1.6 million rubles.

To maintain reliable condition of existing power grids, providing technological connection of new applied customers it is planned to perform construction and reconstruction of 0.4-10 kV power lines in the amount of 355.7 million rubles.

Retrofitting and reconstruction of high voltage substations will reduce the power shortage in some areas of the city and region. The total amount for the implementation of these measures is 318.8 million rubles. Part of the funds will be spent by the branch on technical upgrading and reconstruction of transformer substations and distribution points.

The investment program for 2011 provides for the reconstruction of automation equipment and communications in the Districts of Electrical Networks, which will create a single information space on the territory of the branch. In particular information needs of distribution points of operation and technology groups of the Grid Control Center of the branch will be solved.

Significant funds in the investment program are for the development of an automated metering electricity system. This will improve the efficiency of obtaining data on electricity consumption.

The investment program of the last year has been executed by the branch in full. In the course of the program implementation some aged equipment has been replaced and modern materials have been used.
