11.01.2012

The second stage of modernization of the substation 110/6/6 kV “Soviet” of IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division is coming to its completion. This will increase the capacity for technological connection of the regional center’s consumers and improve the reliability of power supply.

At the substation “Soviet” in the second stage of reconstruction the installation of the power transformer T-2 with its capacity of 40 MVA, two gas-insulated circuit-breakers 110 kV, four 110 kV disconnectors with electric motor drives and 38 bays of 6 kV in a new indoor switchgear has been performed, the secondary circuit of relay protection and automation is being laid. After the commissioning of the new transformer the total power of the substation “Soviet” will reach 105 MVA.

In the near future it is expected to start building the site of the Old Airport, which is located in Soviet district of the city of Bryansk. It will develop residential neighborhoods, open shops, and there will be social facilities. Currently, Plant “Silicon”, Poultry processing plant “Snezhka”, modern shopping centers and housing facilities are connected to the substation “Soviet”.

“It should be noted that due to the reconstruction of our power facilities not only increases the reliability of power supply, but also working conditions of staff of Bryanskenergo get improved. The widespread implementation of automation makes the work of power engineers easier and safer”, — stressed Deputy Director for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer of the branch Alexander Kosarim.
