Since the beginning of the year Kurskenergo has filed 1056 acts of non-metered electricity consumption, the amount of stolen electricity is 5.45 million kWh.
In addition, 147 cases of non-contracted consumption through illegal connection to electric networks have been revealed, for which 1.3 million rubles have been paid in the pretrial order, the court recovered more than 190 thousand rubles.
Often poor quality of supply voltage in the mains is due to electricity theft, unauthorized connection of power installations to the electrical grid. In apartment buildings, equipped with common in-house metering devices, in the case of illegal use of electricity by unscrupulous consumers, the difference in the amount of electricity, metered by a common in-house metering device and individual meters is distributed among all residents.
