Belgorodenergo has supplied electricity to homes for orphans in Valuiky

06.12.2011

IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division promptly has supplied power to ten semi-detached houses for orphans, built along Locomotivnaya street in the city of Valuiky of the Belgorod region. Grand opening of the new buildings with the total floor area of approximately 900 sq.m. took place on 1 December.

To connect the homes to the electric grid power engineers reconstructed 0.2 km of overhead power line of 0.4 kV and constructed a line section of 0.5 km from a packaged transformer substation of 0.4-10 kV 160 kVA. 11 new concrete poles and seven fixtures with modern energy-saving lamps, which have a high degree of illumination and low power consumption, were installed in the street. During the construction and reconstruction of line sections of 0.4 kV self-supporting insulated wire was used that has a high level of reliability and safety.

Construction of houses is carried out through a regional program to provide housing for orphans and children left without parental care. Similar projects have been completed in the micro-district Niva in the town of Alekseyevka, where power was supplied to 14 houses, three houses in Popov street in the settlement of Volokonovka and in other parts of the Belgorod region.
