IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division continues to improve skills of the staff

IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division summed up the training, retraining of staff for three quarters of 2011. About 5.5 million rubles have been spent on the staff training in this period.

For the past period 1217 employees (497 managers, 214 specialists and 506 workers) had their training in various areas. The division’s staff modernized their skills of professional competence, had their training and certification to service hazardous industrial facilities, training and certification for safety and improved their level of professional education.

The division has concluded contracts with regional educational institutions, among which the branch of the National Research University “MPEI” in the city of Smolensk. In the training centers of NRU “MPEI”, “Energetik” and “Expertenergo” 70 employees of the division have improved their skills, 10 employees have been trained in accordance with the vocational training program “Electric power systems and grid”, four of whom have successfully completed their training, the others are continuing their education.

“Managers and specialists are provided with workshops, training courses, and the opportunity to undergo retraining on the basis of non-core higher education and receive a second degree. Workers shall be provided for skills improvement and refresher training to develop core, adjacent and second working professions, raising educational levels, — explained Head of Human Resources Office Alla Korolkova. — We perform this work continuously. By the end of the year we have scheduled training and retraining of personnel, skills improvement, training and qualification for permits to perform special activities”.

Total in 2011 IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division has planned to spend more than 6.7 million rubles on the staff training.
