Working with veterans is an important activity of IDGC of Centre-Voronezhenergo division. Within ten days of the elderly several events were organized for the veterans of Voronezhenergo, who are retired, the Council of Veterans, Department of Social Relations and the Trade Union Committee of the division.
“Day of the Elderly is a great opportunity to say warm words of thanks to veterans of war and labour for their contributions to our company for many years of conscientious work, experience, kindness and wisdom,”- noted in his welcoming speech Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division director Ivan Kleymenov.
Greeting words were uttered by Chairman of the Council of Veterans of IDGC of Centre and Voronezhenergo, Vladimir Skrynnikov, Chairman of the Regional Committee of Utilities Trade Union Evgeniy Pronyaev and Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation Leonid Fomenkov. After that, the veterans visited the Museum of the Voronezh power system, where Chairman of the Youth Council of Voronezhenergo Maria Ovchinnikova conducted a tour for them. With great pleasure the veterans of the utilities industry saw the photos of their work in the company and they were pleased to hear stories about their colleagues. Next an excursion was organized for the former employees of the branch to places of military glory of the hero city of Voronezh.
Voronezhenergo pays great attention to social support for their retirees. They are supported with material aid and funds are allocated to anniversaries and holidays.
“The young generation of power engineers honours the history and is proud of the accomplishments of our veterans, who laid the necessary foundations for the successful operation of the system at this time. The veterans need attention, so we constantly conduct joint meetings of generations”, — said Evgeniy Pronyaev.
