Yarenergo successfully implements the street lighting program

For seven months 2011 IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division spent more than 15 million rubles at the implementation of measures for the restoration and development of street lighting in the Yaroslavl region.

Works on street lighting are performed in the framework of the regional program «Reconstruction and construction of new street lighting in urban areas of the Yaroslavl region in 2009-2012.» This year the program has covered 14 out of 17 districts. 178 poles and 600 lighting fixtures were installed, including the provision of electronic control gears and installed 39 km self-supporting insulated conductor.

Implementation of energy-saving technologies in the networks of street lighting can reduce energy consumption of street lighting power lines by 38%, prolong the service life of equipment, improve the current level of lighting and eliminates spontaneous switching off of lamps that occurs due to unstable operation of power grids. In the course of work 67 metering and control boxes for street lighting were installed, so the level of lighting is regulated by the previously set schedule, telecommunications control over the state of the grid is performed and energy consumption is metered.
