Rosseti Centre increased the reliability of power supply of the Holy Vvedensky Tolgsky Convent in the Yaroslavl region

15.07.2020

The branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” reconstructed more than a kilometre of a 6 kV cable power line to increase reliable power supply to the Holy Vvedensky Tolgsky Convent, one of the largest convents in the country, recognized as a pilgrimage shrine.

The cable line is one of the feeding lines of the entire monastery complex. It connects the tie supply substation of 6 kV and equipment located on the territory of the monastery. Yaroslavl power engineers laid engineering communications underground, including in a trenchless way, using special equipment of horizontal directional drilling in compliance with all technological features. Thus, the surface of the territory of the monastery remained untouched, including elements of landscaping, roadbed and buildings.

“The condition of the reconstructed cable line required urgent repair, so the work was included in the plan for the current year. The Tolgsky monastery was the pride of the Yaroslavl land, it was important for us to ensure the reliability of the power supply of this complex quickly using modern technologies that would not disturb the landscape of the monastery’s territory,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

The branch “Rosseti Centre Yarenergo” implements a number of programs aimed at improving the reliability of the functioning of the electric grid complex of the Yaroslavl region. During 2020, power engineers plan to repair 699 kilometres of cable and overhead power lines, 228 transformer substations throughout the region. For the first half of the year, 68% of the planned annual scope has already been completed.
