Kurskenergo completed a lecture course on digital transformation for students of the Southwest State University

13.11.2019

Classes were held as part of the information course “Digital Transformation in the Electric Grid Complex” - the educational project of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. They were attended by more than 120 students of the 1st-3rd-4th years of the Department “Power Supply” of the Southwest State University, as well as university teachers. They learned from the power engineers about the specifics of the functioning of digital technologies in the electric grid complex, and got an idea about the management of processes and digital data in the electric power industry.

In addition, the course participants were introduced to the projects of the first stage of digital transformation of Kurskenergo’s electric grid complex: “Digital Substation”, “Digital Distribution Zone. Distributed Automation”, “Unified Grid Control Centre”, “Digital Radio Communication”, “Digital Electrician” and others.

Prior to the start of the “Digital Transformation in the Electric Grid Complex” information course, the students were told about a contest organized by the company, each of which could become a participant. To do this, the students had to take a photo from the lecture and post them on the pages of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region on Instagram with the hashtag #RossetiCentre_UchimTsifre. The students took this opportunity and are looking forward to the results.

Oleg Larin, Associate Professor of the Department “Power Supply” at the Southwest State University, thanked Kurskenergo’s specialists for their lectures on the digital transformation of the power grid complex, which were rich in interesting and useful information.

“The work of our graduates is related to the electric power industry. And in order to get a position in a company such as Rosseti Centre in the future, young professionals are simply obliged to navigate the world of digital technologies.”
