Voronezhenergo reconstructs a high-voltage power line in the centre of the Left Bank of Voronezh

13.11.2019

As part of the implementation of the 2019 investment program, specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” have begun the reconstruction of double-circuit overhead power line of 110 kV No. 23, 24 in the city of Voronezh.

The line, constructed in 1984, runs along the shore of the Voronezh reservoir from the TPP-1 power plant to the “Alye Parusa” park and crosses the Voronezh reservoir. It provides energy supply to a number of industrial and domestic consumers, as well as social facilities in the Left Bank and Central districts of the regional centre.

During the reconstruction, the power engineers will replace anchor-angle pole No. 23, located on MOPR Street, at the site in front of the entrance to the “Alye Parusa” park.

“Inspection and diagnostics showed that the proximity of the reservoir creates the danger of destruction of the foundation of this pole by groundwater. It was decided to dismantle it and put a new modern pole on the foundation of a concrete base reinforced with piles,” said Acting Deputy General Director - Director of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” Vyacheslav Antonov.

For the period of the installation of the new pole, the experts mounted a repair section of the grid of 5 temporary reinforced concrete poles and transferred power to it to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all consumers receiving electricity from this line. At the construction site itself, installation of more than 45 bored 11-metre piles has been completed at the moment. A team of builders began concreting the grillage of the foundation base, after which the final stage will begin - the installation of the elements of the metal frame of the pole, the installation of insulators and wires. It is planned to commission the modernized energy facility in December 2019.

“We planned the project of the new pole, as well as the improvement of the adjacent site, taking into account the proximity to the popular resting place of the townspeople - the “Alye Parusa” park, and also taking into account plans for the reconstruction of the reservoir embankment with the construction of the Sailing Centre. We hope that our renewed energy facility will successfully fit into the general concept of upgrading the territory and, possibly, will become one of new attractions of the capital of the Black Earth Region,” stressed Vyacheslav Antonov.
