General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy held a meeting of a special operational Headquarters to increase the security of energy facilities in the area of responsibility of the Companies and counter new threats.
Reports were heard from the heads of the security unit, IT department and near-border branches on the implementation of new methods and means of protecting energy infrastructure, including radar, in the face of changing forms of influence and the emergence of new risks.
The Headquarters decided to expand protective measures, upgrade equipment, and introduce additional organizational measures. The Head of the Companies emphasized that today special attention should be paid to this issue in all branches of the Central Federal District; the absolute priority for the company is the preservation of people’s lives and health.
“The power engineers take a responsible approach to fulfilling their main task - to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity, because the normal life of thousands of people and the functioning of significant industrial facilities depend on this. Our accumulated experience, professionalism and well-coordinated clear interaction with authorities and representatives of law enforcement agencies allow us to warn, as well as promptly respond to emerging incidents and perform our work efficiently even in an unsafe situation”, noted Igor Makovskiy.
