Igor Makovskiy summed up the results of the company’s work to ensure reliable power supply to consumers during the New Year holidays

Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, held an operational meeting, where the results of the work of the Company’s branches to ensure reliable power supply to consumers during non-working days, weekends and holidays from 31 December 2021 to 10 January 2022 were summed up.

During this period, in all regions of the company’s operational responsibility, adverse weather events, temperature transitions through zero, precipitation in the form of snow and gusts of wind up to 12 m/s were observed. In this regard, a high alert mode was introduced in 12 branches, and a special operating mode at Vladimirenergo.

The head of the energy companies noted that despite this, the state of the power grid complex remained satisfactory, and thanked the teams of the branches for the coordinated and prompt work to eliminate technological violations.

General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region paid special attention to eliminating the consequences of bad weather in the Tver and Vladimir regions, where 17 mobile crews from Tulenergo, Nizhnovenergo, Ryazanenergo and Ivenergo were additionally sent.

In total, for the period of the non-working days, weekends and holidays, 1,377 crews, 3,752 people and 1,459 vehicles were involved in restoration and repair work.

At the end of the meeting, Igor Makovskiy set the task of conducting a thorough analysis of the reasons for the interruptions in power supply to consumers since the beginning of January and submitting specific proposals to reduce the risks of violations in the future.

“On weekends and holidays, at any time of the day and in any weather, power engineers are obliged to fulfill their main task - to provide reliable power supply to consumers. The branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region are constantly ready to meet unfavourable weather events at a high level and promptly respond to their consequences, and, if necessary, mobilize forces and assets to help neighbouring regions,” Igor Makovskiy emphasized.
