The final press conference of General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy took place

General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC Igor Makovskiy held an annual press conference summarizing the results of the Company’s activities over the past three years and plans for the coming period. The event took place in Moscow with the support of the TASS News Agency. More than 100 representatives of federal and regional media were present in person and online.

In his opening remarks, the head of the Company emphasized that the company fulfills all obligations to ensure reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers and continues to implement strategic plans for the development of the power grid complex throughout the territory of responsibility in 20 regions of the Russian Federation.

The main indicators of reliability in the power grid company are the average duration and frequency of power supply interruptions to consumers. During the reporting period, the Company could significantly improve them: the average duration of interruptions was reduced from 2.6 hours to 1.46 hours, that is, by 44%, and the average frequency of power supply interruptions - from 1.31 to 0.83, that is, 37%. These dramatic changes happened through the implementation of new tools and the modification of a number of processes.

Igor Makovskiy noted that systematic work on the consolidation of power grid assets is also aimed at improving the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers. As a result of the measures implemented over three years, 12 thousand transformer substations with an installed capacity of more than 8,700 MVA and power lines with a total length of more than 36 thousand km, including about 3 thousand power grid facilities that were previously ownerless, came under the control of the Company.

One of the important topics of the press conference was the results of work in the development of additional services and services that are in demand among the population and enterprises of the regions, in particular, the installation of outdoor lighting. As of December 2021, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region service about 600 thousand light points in 20 regions of presence. Along with this, power engineers pay great attention to the aesthetic component during the modernization and construction of new elements of the power grid complex. Moreover, each completed facility is not only modern technologies, but also a unique architectural ensemble. According to the head of the energy company, the energy sector can and should be beautiful!

Answering journalists’ questions, Igor Makovskiy spoke about the measures taken to ensure the continuity of the organization’s activities during the pandemic, the implementation of tasks to increase non-tariff earnings and labour productivity. He also focused on holding events in the field of customer focus. 

In addition, the creation of new high-tech facilities and the scaling of innovative projects will continue, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for automated diagnostics of overhead lines and machine learning methods to identify locations of commercial electricity losses.

Together with the media, consumers also asked Igor Makovskiy their questions. On the eve of the event, a hotline was opened, which received about seven hundred and fifty calls. The questions and messages received were immediately processed by the management of branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, so a number of consumers received answers even before the event.

Igor Makovskiy thanked everyone for their interest and emphasized that the questions that remained outside the scope of the press conference live broadcast, consumers will definitely receive answers on an individual basis.
