Igor Makovskiy outlined the priorities of the Smolensk branch of Rosseti Centre

On 1 December 2021, Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, paid a working visit to the Smolensk region. An important stage in the trip of the head of the company to the region was a meeting with staff of the Smolensk branch and the regional leadership.

The central topic of discussion was plans and prospects for operation of the power grid complex, as well as summing up the results of emergency recovery measures of the past day.

Igor Makovskiy gave a positive assessment of the progress of the work, noted the readiness of the personnel, the speed of response to massive technological disruptions in the grid, the coherence of interaction between services and units to restore power supply to consumers in the Smolensk region, violations of which were caused by a powerful cyclone on 30 November of this year.

The head of the energy company dwelled on priorities of the branch of Rosseti Centre - Smolenskenergo. Among them, he outlined an increase in reliability of electricity supply to consumers, a decrease in electricity losses, and development of value-added services. 

At a meeting with the staff and management of Smolenskenergo, Igor Makovskiy discussed the specifics of the branch, the fulfillment of social obligations of the companies, as well as a number of work issues.

At the end of the visit, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region met with the leadership of the region and discussed strategically important directions for modernizing the energy complex of the Smolensk region in 2022-2024.

“Working visits allow to see the work of the branch from the inside, to correctly prioritize the further activities of the company. At present, the Smolenskenergo branch has been assigned a number of important tasks, the fulfillment of which will allow bringing the operation of the region’s power grid complex to a qualitatively new level.”
