Igor Makovskiy: Digital transformation of the power grid complex is the key to the successful development of the Kursk region

20 October 2021

On 20 October 2021, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region at the site of the Multifunctional Information-Technology Centre held a meeting on further expanding the capabilities of this innovative facility.

The IT infrastructure of the Centre has combined services capable of online monitoring of the state of the power grid complex at the interregional level. Thus, on the basis of the MITC, control of the reliability and quality of power supply in the Kursk and Orel regions, remote control of power facilities, planning of emergency measures and organization of emergency recovery operations, taking into account predictive analytics and analysis of external conditions, will be ensured. Already today, huge amounts of data are processed and analyzed here in real time, which in the future will become the basis for a unique system of support for making managerial decisions in the interests of residents.

The relevant managers reported to the head of the energy companies on the progress of projects within the framework of the development concept of the MITC, including the Interregional Security Management Centre, the Training Centre for Digital Transformation, as well as the Centre for Professional Training of Dispatcher and Engineering Personnel in 20 regions of the service area of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region.

Assessing the implementation of the work, Igor Makovskiy emphasized their importance for the region and, in particular, for ensuring reliable power supply, and also noted: “The level of development of information systems, the use of analysis and information processing tools make it possible to expand the capabilities of the Centre, increase the coverage and data analytics. Automated control of all processes will make it possible to promptly respond to the expectations of residents, as well as implement a model of interregional management not only of the energy complex, but other spheres of life in the regions.”
