Igor Makovskiy took part in a meeting of the Government Commission on ensuring security of power supply

Today in Belgorod, a meeting of the Government Commission on ensuring security of power supply (federal headquarters) was held under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Evgeniy Grabchak. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Director General — Chief Engineer of PJSC Rosseti Andrey Mayorov, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC Igor Makovskiy, heads of regional headquarters for power supply security in the Central Federal District (CFD).

Within the framework of the federal headquarters, the interim results of the preparation of the subjects of the electric power industry of the Central Federal District for the heating season of 2021-2022 were summed up.

The branches of Rosseti Centre, Rosseti Centre and Volga region, operating in the Central Federal District, are taking steps to prepare for the coming heating season as scheduled.

1,977 crews, 7,264 people of repair personnel, 1,576 specialized vehicles, 1,415 backup power sources with a total capacity of 53 MW were prepared to carry out emergency recovery work in the branches of Rosseti Centre, Rosseti Centre and Volga region. 7,823 million rubles were allocated for implementation of the maintenance and repair program in 2021, which is 3% more than in 2020.

Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC, noted that the full implementation of the repair program is the basis for reliable operation of the grids during the winter maximum.

«In the autumn and winter months, when light and heat are extremely necessary, the load on the grid complex increases significantly. The main task of power engineers is to identify all possible risks so that they do not affect the quality and reliability of power supply. Moreover, this applies to both key substations and small power supply centres in remote villages and farms: reliable power supply should be equally accessible to everyone.»
