On 28 December, in Ryazan, a power transmission pole was officially opened, stylized as an emblem of the Airborne Forces. The pole is made in the form of a giant parachute and two planes on the sides. There is an inscription on the dome: “Ryazan is the capital of the Airborne Forces”. The height of the facility is 32 metres, width - 35 metres, weight - 90 tons. The new stylized pole replaced two old power transmission poles at once.
Through the efforts of the Rosseti company, the power facility has acquired a new form and new content. The stylized power transmission pole in the form of the emblem of the Airborne Forces is a gift from power engineers to the region on the eve of the New Year, a new art object that will become another symbol of Ryazan.
At the opening ceremony of the stylized pole, the official representative of the International Records Registration Agency, Maxim Prudnikov, registered a new world and Russian record - “The world’s first power transmission pole in the form of an emblem of the Russian Airborne Forces” and presented a certificate to General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.
