29 July 2020

Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region summed up the work on connection of consumers to power grids for the first half of the year. During the specified period, the companies executed 27,539 grid connection contracts, the total connection capacity was 881 MW.

“Our principled position is to ensure accelerated grid connection and continue to improve customer services despite difficult external conditions. Thus, we, as a socially responsible company, intend to continue to fulfill all our obligations to consumers in 20 regions of the country,” emphasizes Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

In total, for six months, branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region received 40.5 thousand applications from consumers for grid connection. Among the largest consumers connected to the grids of the energy companies are enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, trade, and the food industry.

Power engineers of the branch “Rosseti Centre Smolenskenergo” completed the grid connection of the region’s first shopping centre Leroy Merlin in Smolensk. The capacity provided to the future shopping complex was 1 MW. After the opening of the shopping centre in Smolensk, more than 150 new jobs will be created. Grid connection of such facilities is under the special control of Pavel Livinskiy, the head of Rosseti’s group of companies. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.

In the Lipetsk region, work was completed on connection to electric grids of pumping stations and the irrigation system of Yeletsky LLC. To ensure the delivery of power to the facilities, the power engineers constructed sections of 10 kV overhead and cable lines with a total length of more than 10 km, and reconstructed the switchgear of the main power centre of the enterprise, the 110/10 kV “Lukoshkino” substation.

For six months of 2020, specialists of “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Udmurtenergo” connected to their grids facilities of agricultural enterprises, farms and agricultural cooperatives in the Sarapulsky, Alnashsky, Votkinsky, Zavyalovsky, Uvinsky, Malopurginsky, Balezinsky, Vavozhsky, Karakulinsky and Debesinsky districts of the republic. The total capacity of the newly connected facilities exceeded 750 kW.

In the Tambov region, power is provided to the new high-tech greenhouse complex “Michurinsky” in the Michurinsky district. As part of the implementation of the grid connection agreement, the power engineers constructed a 10 kV power line with a total length of 11 km and reconstructed equipment at the 110/35/10 kV “Yuzhnaya” substation. The maximum power consumption of the facility will be 2.5 MW, the planned total area of all stages is 100 hectares. Upon reaching the design capacity, the complex will produce from 50 to 100 thousand tons of vegetables per year. After the completion of all stages of construction, the enterprise will become the largest modern greenhouse complex for growing greenhouse vegetables in Russia and will provide jobs for about 1,500 people.

In the second quarter, the branch “Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Tulenergo” completed work on the grid connection of power plants of the vegetable storage and processing enterprise Miratorg-Orel LLC, located in the Plavsky district of the Tula region. The power engineers put into operation the new 35/10 kV “Miratorg” digital substation equipped with two 35/10 kV power transformers with a capacity of 6.3 MVA each. For the grid connection of electrical equipment of the agro-industrial holding company, two 35 kV power lines with a total length of 6.5 km and two 10 kV overhead lines were constructed, and a 10 kV distribution substation was installed. Also, an enterprise for production of fruit and vegetable products of “Greenhouse complex “Tulsky” LLC, located in the Schekinsky district was connected to the grid. As part of the agreement, the power engineers constructed two 6 kV power lines. The emergence of new agro-industrial and agricultural enterprises contributes to the improvement of the socio-economic situation and the welfare of residents of the Tula region. Over 400 jobs will be created in the region.
