Rosseti Centre developed a training course on automation of electricity metering for university students

18 September 2019

Specialists of the branch “Rosseti Centre Voronezhenergo” completed work on a lecture course on automated electricity metering systems (AMR) and specialized software used in the electric grid complex. The new training course is intended for students of specialized faculties of higher educational institutions. It is designed for one semester and includes both theoretical and practical classes.

The introduction of the new discipline in the curriculum was made possible as a result of the agreements that were reached at a workshop held in May 2019 by the management of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, and representatives of universities working in the regions of its service area ( 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation).

The first training course of Rosseti Centre will be tested by students of the Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I (VSAU), specializing in “Electrical equipment and electrical technologies in the agricultural sector”: it will be included in their plan in the new academic year. The students will learn about the history of the development of automated metering systems, their current application and development prospects in the framework of the concept of digital transformation of the electric grid complex, get acquainted with a three-level scheme for building an automated energy management system, and will be able to gain practical knowledge on working with the “Pyramid-Grid” computing system.

*Since June 2019, all companies of the transmission and distribution grid complex in corporate and marketing communications, as well as on all corporate identity carriers have been using the new name containing the Rosseti trademark and regional or functional binding
