Igor Makovskiy was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “YarEGC”

The Board of Directors of Joint-Stock Company “Yaroslavl Electric Grid Company” (JSC “YarEGC”) at its meeting on 16 August unanimously elected Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, as its Chairman.

JSC “YarEGC” is a joint venture of the Government of the Yaroslavl Region and Rosseti Centre, established in 2008. The company consolidates and restores municipal and departmental power grid assets, electric grids of gardening partnerships and socially significant facilities.

Over the eleven years of operation, the enterprise has created a powerful production potential and expanded the area of ​​its activities. Currently, YarEGC services and develops, on the basis of long-term lease agreements, electric grids of four district centres (the cities of Pereslavl-Zalessky, Lyubim, Myshkin and the settlement of Nekrasovskoye), and facilities in seventeen municipal districts of the region. The company, in particular, provides power to 129 gardening partnerships. As part of a program to increase energy efficiency, YarEGC is modernizing lighting networks, replacing lighting fixtures with energy-saving ones.

The total length of overhead and cable power lines located in the service area of ​​the company is 1,342 km. The total capacity of transformer substations of 35/6-10/0.4 kV is 145.4 MVA. The number of employees exceeds 200 people.

Under the leadership of the Board of Directors, JSC “YarEGC” was able to establish close cooperation with regional authorities, municipal administrations and horticultural partnerships in the region, which allows it to solve socially significant problems associated with the setup of reliable and high-quality power supply.
