Igor Makovskiy, General Director of IDGC of Centre, during his working visit to the Lipetsk region met with Acting Governor of the region Igor Artamonov. The parties discussed issues of strategic cooperation in the field of modernization, digitalization and improvement of the quality of functioning of the regional electric grid complex.
Igor Makovskiy introduced to Igor Artamonov the concept of implementing digital technologies and control systems for the electric grid complex of the Lipetsk region. In the next five years, IDGC of Centre will allocate 1.7 billion rubles for these purposes. The project implementation will ensure observability and controllability of the power grid complex and significantly improve the reliability of power supply to consumers.
“The branch of IDGC of Centre “Lipetskenergo” already has experience in implementing automation and grid digitalization elements. All substations of 35-110 kV of the branch were telemechanized, there are works on the implementation of smart metering of electricity and grid automation with the capability to automatically locate faulty sections of power lines. Within five years, Lipetskenergo plans to construct digital Gryazinsky Distribution Zone, as well as to reconstruct three 110 kV substations using digital data transfer protocols,” said Igor Makovskiy.
Igor Artamonov supported the initiative for the innovative development of the regional grid complex, noting that the Lipetsk region is always open to promising technologies and modern solutions.
The head of IDGC of Centre and the head of the region discussed the issues of consolidation of the region’s power grid assets.
Igor Makovskiy also referred disagreements in the sector of financial settlements between participants in the regional electricity market to the issue of reliability of electricity supply in the region. Accumulation of receivables of sales companies entails non-payment of services by territorial grid organizations. The heads have identified solutions to the problem.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed readiness for long-term cooperation in improving the reliability of electricity supply to consumers of the Lipetsk region, ensuring the energy security of the region.
