General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy participates in the All-Russian seminar-meeting on tariff regulation organized by the FAS Russia

17 October 2018

On 16 October, a three-day All-Russian seminar-meeting "Tariff regulation in 2018 and the tasks of state regulatory bodies for 2019" opened in Yalta. The event was organized by the Federal State-Funded Institution “Information and Technical Centre of the FAS Russia”.

On the eve, within the framework of the All-Russian seminar-meeting, a plenary session was held at which current issues of tariff policy in various sectors of the economy were discussed. The meeting’s speakers included representatives of the FAS Russia leadership.

General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy took part in the plenary session.

“This is a very important event, during which trends in the state tariff policy and tariff decisions for the near future are voiced and then discussed by all interested parties,” stressed Igor Makovskiy. “This year, two key points have become important for us, related to the improvement of the procedure for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of investment programs and the introduction of long-term regulatory agreements between electric grid companies and regions, on the basis of which a long-term tariff will be established.”

According to the head of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, these decisions are extremely relevant for all participants in the process. “Suffice to say that the long-term tariff allows us to significantly expand the time frame for investment planning and, as a result, to take into account the interests of the regions more fully and synchronize our programs with the programs of their socio-economic development with maximum accuracy. As a result, fundamentally new opportunities are opening up for a more efficient and expeditious solution of the tasks associated with providing high-quality and reliable power supply to consumers,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.

Please, be reminded that earlier Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of PJSC Rosseti, stated that the grids should be economically and financially stable and efficient to guarantee the normal operation of power grid facilities through timely investment of necessary funds in the maintenance and development of their production assets.

The All-Russian seminar-meeting “Tariff regulation in 2018 and the tasks of state regulatory bodies for 2019” brought together representatives of the antimonopoly authority, regional tariff regulators, business entities and experts. The program of the event involves discussion in the format of strategic sessions and thematic round tables of issues of coordination of the implementation of functions for tariff regulation of the federal level and the level of subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as issues of improving legislation in the field of state regulation of tariffs. The work of the All-Russian seminar-meeting will be completed on 18 October.
