4 September 2018

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division took part in the action "Family helps the family: let’s get the child ready for school", initiated by the administration of Kostroma. The action to collect school supplies for children from large families and low-income families started in early August. The energy company actively supported the initiative of the city authorities: with the support of the primary trade union organization of their enterprise, they collected pens, pencils, markers, paints, modelling clay, notebooks, pencil boxes, sets of coloured paper and cardboard, and children’s sports shirts for physical education and passed them all the Kostroma regional centre of social assistance to families and children.

The head of the social institution Natalia Chistyakova thanked the employees of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre for help to needy children. "We highly appreciate your responsiveness, sensitivity, kindness and unselfish desire to help," says a letter of thanks with her signature addressed to the director of Kostromaenergo Alexander Glebov.

Employees of Kostromaenergo regularly participate in socially significant and charitable events. So, for several years already, within the framework of the "White Flower" campaign, organized by one of charitable foundations with the support of local authorities, they purchase souvenir products made by children at a special fair. The organizers give money received to families raising disabled children and other related needs. During five years of the action in the region, it was possible to complete the construction of a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities "School of Curative Pedagogics", to help in the organization of a department for premature children of the Kostroma Regional Children’s Hospital, and the "Mother and Child" branch on the basis of the Centre for restorative medicine and rehabilitation for children.
