In the first half of 2018 Smolenskenergo’s specialists recovered almost 50 million rubles in favour of the power company

3 September 2018

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division continues systematic work to collect accounts receivable, including for services on electric power transmission. One of the effective measures to strengthen financial discipline (along with the introduction of a power supply restriction) is the claim-related work and subsequent executive actions conducted by employees of the power company in conjunction with the Federal Bailiff Service and financial institutions.

The legal support department of the branch for the first half of 2018 sent to courts of various instances 132 lawsuits for a total of 140 million rubles. During this period 52 suits for the amount of 84 million rubles were already satisfied. It could collect more than 10 million rubles as a result of effective interaction of specialists of the security unit of the branch with bailiffs-executors.

The amount of voluntarily repaid claims on enforcement orders on collection of arrears for electricity transmission services amounted to 38.79 million rubles.

Funds received by energy specialists from non-payers, first of all, will be used to finance production activities and modernization of electric grid facilities in the region.

Energy specialists strongly recommend that all consumers in arrears pay it off as soon as possible. When introducing a full or partial restriction of the electricity consumption mode, they should strictly observe the statutory obligations. This will allow to avoid the use of harsh measures prescribed by law: the imposition of seizure on their movable and immovable property, as well as on funds on settlement accounts.
