The solemn opening ceremony of the 110/6 kV substation "Privokzalnaya" in Lipetsk was attended by Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division director Sergey Koval, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Lipetsk region Alexander Narolin, Head of the Energy and Tariffs Department of the Lipetsk region Albert Sokovykh.
Reconstruction of the 110/6 kV substation "Privokzalnaya" being one of significant and large-scale projects in the Lipetsk region began just over a year ago. Its modernization was necessary not only in connection with the arrival of new technologies, but also dictated by the time. The substation "Privokzalnaya" was put into operation in 1970. The last time the 110 kV outdoor switchgear of the feeding centre was reconstructed in 1983, and in 2002 the replacement of breaker-isolating and short-circuiting switches was completed, two 110 kV gas-insulated circuit breakers were installed. Since then, electrical equipment at the substation had not been upgraded until 2016.
"The large-scale reconstruction of the substation "Privokzalnaya" demonstrates the innovative approach of IDGC of Centre to the development and modernization of the existing grid complex of the region’s electric power industry. The energy sector of the Lipetsk region is keeping pace with the times. In the Lipetsk region, new energy capacities have been created with modern domestic electrical equipment. This is the result of the joint work of the regional administration and IDGC of Centre," stressed Deputy Head of the Administration of the Lipetsk region Alexander Narolin.
The commissioning of new capacities of one of the main substations of Lipetsk has significantly improved the reliability of electricity supply to consumers. The substation "Privokzalnaya" provides power supply to the central and north-western part of the city of Lipetsk, including such socially significant facilities as several boiler houses, the Central City Clinical Hospital, the Sports Palace "Zvezdny".
"The substation "Privokzalnaya" is a large investment project of IDGC of Centre, which meets the latest technical developments in the field of innovative construction of power facilities. It is especially pleasant that this event took place on the eve of our professional holiday. This is a gift for both residents of Lipetsk and all power engineers," stressed in his speech Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division director Sergey Koval.
