IDGC of Centre’s specialists improve their skills in the field of occupational safety and health

One hundred engineering and technical employees of IDGC of Centre were trained by Federal State-Funded Institution "Training office" of Rostekhnadzor in the Tambov region. Its aim was to improve the professional competence of experts in connection with the entry into force of legislative innovations concerning occupational safety regulations for electrical installations.

For two weeks employees of the Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Kostroma, Yaroslavl and Tambov branches of IDGC of Centre obtained new knowledge and skills in the field of compliance with the basic rules of electrical safety and the use of additional personal protective equipment when working at power installations. This, in particular, was a question of ensuring the safe performance of work during installation of self-supporting insulated wire and work with protected cables, the construction of power lines when working on overhead lines under induced voltage. Upon completion of the training all participants passed the verification test.

"Preventing electric injuries, improvement of conditions of labour protection and prevention of accidents working at power installations is one of the priorities of our activity. Electrical safety directly depends on the quality of training of the staff, so we strive to improve the professional skills of employees, so that they can promptly and correctly apply them in their practical work," stressed the head of the production control and labour protection office of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division Sergey Simon.
