MPEI Rector thanked power engineers of IDGC of Centre for construction of the training centre in Konakovo

8 December 2016

Rector of Moscow Power Engineering Institute Nikolay Rogalev sent a letter addressed to General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isaev, in which he expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the company for construction and equipping of the training centre on the site of the energy college – a branch of "National Research University "MPEI" in Konakovo of the Tver region.

"Through the use of the centre in the educational process of students the time is reduced to adapt graduates to the workflow in enterprises and grid companies, which contributes to practical focus of training and increasing the value of college graduates to potential employers," said the letter.

Please, be reminded that in 2014 at the site of Konakovo Energy College the first training centre for distribution grids was commissioned, which consists of a 10/0.4 kV package transformer substation, a pole-mounted 10/0.4 kV transformer substation, bays of 10 kV switchgear and control gear, sections of an overhead power line with 0.4-10 kV insulated and uninsulated wire on reinforced concrete, wooden and many-sided poles. IDGC of Centre provided the centre with all necessary equipment to perform work of first responding mobile and repair crews. In 2015 the company opened its second stage, equipped with a 10 kV bay of indoor switchgear and control gear, a workbench with short-circuit indicators, workbenches with 35 kV and 10 kV disconnectors, a workbench with cast 20 kV isolated phase buses, educational panels with microprocessor-based relay protection and automation terminals, as well as other visual patterns of power equipment.

All in all, IDGC of Centre has six operating training centres, there are also 265 training centres in Distribution Zones of the company’s branches.
