Power engineers of IDGC of Centre got mobilized due to bad weather

In connection with predicted adverse weather events (wet snow, snowstorm, icing on trees and wires), under the decision of the operational headquarters IDGC of Centre, the branches "Bryanskenergo", "Smolenskenergo" and "Tverenergo" were put on high alert mode.

In each of the branches crisis management centres were set up, which are headed by their leaders. Special control over the work of power facilities was established, performance of routine repairs was stopped or minimized. Information exchange was organized with regional EMERCOM offices and executive authorities, MES of Centre, FGC UES, territorial power grid companies.

Currently the energy company is taking a set of preventive measures that allow to avoid negative effects of rampant disaster. First responding and restoration crews are on duty around the clock in the branches. To eliminate possible emergency situations it provides for attracting additional forces and resources. Redundant power supply sources were prepared. Those facilities re under special control, which are responsible for heating of the population, as well as socially relevant institutions and infrastructure.
