Specialists of IDGC of Centre – Kostromaenergo division completed work on connection of the residential complex "Flagman" in the city of Kostroma to the electric grid. Maximum connected capacity of power installations amounted to 0.75 MW with the second category of reliability of 10 kV electrical networks.
The residential complex "Flagman" is a seventeen-storied six section house, including 308 large-sized apartments and 17 commercial premises with a total area of 7,635 square metres. It is located in the centre of Kostroma, near the intersection of the main streets of the city - Ivan Susanin and Soviet, and the entrance to the bridge over the Volga River. Currently, internal and external finishing works are under wat in the facility. It is planned to be put into operation before the end of the year.
The Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre makes a significant contribution to the implementation of regional housing projects. Since the beginning of 2016 the power company has provided connection to electric grids in the Kostroma region 31 blocks of flats with a total capacity of 1.9 MW.
In carrying out timely and in full its obligations under the grid connection of large industrial, commercial, residential and social facilities, small and medium-sized businesses, Kostromaenergo promotes the expansion of the tax base, job creation, implementation of the housing policy in the Kostroma region, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.

IDGC of Centre as a socially responsible company in its entirety will fulfill obligations under the pick-up and implementation of the functions of supplier of last resort. It is clear that only a large company, which is ready to take full responsibility to consumers, must engage in this activity and makes clear the issue of settlements between generators, consumers and grid companies.
Please, be reminded that IDGC of Centre has already had the experience of the immediate pick-up and execution of functions of a supplier of last resort. By the decision of the Ministry of Energy of Russia: during 2013 the company took over them in the Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Tver and Smolensk regions. In all cases, the reason was the accumulated debt of previous suppliers of last resort for electric energy and power. The functions were transferred for the transitional period, before the tenders for selection of new suppliers of last resorts. In the Orel region IDGC of Centre performed them until February 2014, in the Kursk and Tver regions - until April 2014, in the Bryansk and Smolensk regions - until June 2014.
