Stable power supply mode restored in the Tver region

12 November 2016

According to the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre at 06.00 p.m. on 12 November most of consumers, in whose homes the lights went out because of freezing rain, were already powered with a normal circuit. The region still has local power outages, Tverenergo’s power engineers are eliminating them as information becomes available.

IDGC of Centre is restoring the electricity supply in the Tver region in close cooperation with EMERCOM of Russia in the Tver region, as well as local municipal authorities. All work is coordinated by the Headquarters of the electric grid complex of PJSC "Rosseti".

Through concerted actions in the last 24 hours 24 overhead power lines and 250 transformer substations were put back into operation. Right now, the power engineers continue connecting de-energized consumers. This was preceded by many kilometres of nightly rounds of power lines, clearing them from icy trees that fell because of ROWs borders, detection and elimination of breakages of wires. All the work is being performed around the clock by Tverenergo’s staff and colleagues from Kostromaenergo, Yarenergo, Smolenskenergo, who came to assist them. The power engineers intend to continue without breaks at night performing the first responding and restoration work, as quickly as possible to eliminate all local power outages.
