Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak during his working visit to Yaroslavl visited facilities of IDGC of Centre

12 November 2016

On Saturday, 12 November, in the framework of participation in the meeting of the State Council Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak arrived in Yaroslavl.

Minister together with General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isayev, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of the company Alexander Pilyugin and Head of IDGC of Centre - Yarenergo division Alexander Kornilov visited the 110/10-10 kV "Novoselki". The most modern technology and equipment is used at the substation "Novoselki".

The substation "Novoselki" provides electrical energy to the Yaroslavl industrial park. This project was created with the support of the Government of the Yaroslavl region to attract to the region large investors. Residents of the park became the data centre of "VimpelCom", the educational centre for training of pharmacists based on Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky, pharmaceutical companies "TEVA" and "Takeda" and others.

"The development of technology parks is the basis for industrial growth of the regions," noted Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak. "Accordingly, the technoparks mainly work in those areas identified as key areas of economic modernization. Construction of power stations, substations, providing the work of such industrial parks is necessary, it is difficult to overestimate their importance. I am glad that IDGC of Centre follows the world trends, the most modern technology is used to increase the quality of work and improve its effectiveness."

Discussing the construction of new facilities, the parties emphasized the relevance of the topic of failure by applicants to perform their obligations to grid companies. After the construction of the new grid infrastructure the applicants have not claimed their demanded amount of capacity, which leads to the fact that the grid company cannot return on the completed project.

During the visit the parties also discussed issues of modernization of electric grid facilities of the region and the Central Federal District. Please, be reminded that recently PJSC "Rosseti" introduced the single management of the subsidiaries of IDGC of Centre and the IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, entrusting management of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region to General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isaev. Thus, today he manages power grid facilities of 20 regions of the Central Federal District.

"The reliability of electricity supply of all types of consumers is our absolute priority," clarified General Director of IDGC of Centre Oleg Isaev. "Practice shows that the model adopted by "Rosseti" has already allowed us to significantly increase our forces - in the period of adverse weather conditions IDGC of Centre’s power engineers are actively helping their colleagues - the branch of "Kalugaenergo" of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, which allows to achieve decent results in the rapid elimination of technological failures."
