More than 3,200 power engineers of IDGC of Centre to be on duty on the Single Voting Day

18 September 2016 3,260 power engineers of IDGC of Centre will be on duty in the regions of the company’s service area and ensure reliable and uninterrupted supply of polling stations on the Single Voting Day.

On the service area of IDGC of Centre, and this is eleven regions of Central Russia, with a population of over 13 million people, the voting will take place at 10,979 stations. Of these, 8,370 polling stations are connected directly to the grid of IDGC of Centre and 2,609 stations are connected through grids of territorial grid companies.

To ensure smooth and reliable operation of electric grid equipment in all branches of IDGC of Centre from 00 hours on 10 September 2016 a special operation mode was set up. All planned repairs and associated switching with them in existing installations were cancelled.

On the Single Voting Day the around the clock duty of maintenance and first responding crews, technical managers and specialists in the workplace is organized. Schedules of duty personnel of the company have been made taking into account the possibility of personal voting at the polling stations for each of the specialists. IDGC of Centre will have on duty 934 crews, comprising 3,260 people and 1,224 vehicles. Besides, IDGC of Centre’s power engineers, if necessary, are ready to assist adjacent grid companies in an event of emergency situations in their service areas.
