The Inter-regional competitions of professional skills of PJSC "Rosseti" finished

In the Leningrad region the Inter-regional competitions of professional skills of personnel for repair and maintenance of substation equipment and cable grids, organized by PJSC "Rosseti", finished. 15 teams, representing companies within the Group PJSC "Rosseti", as well as the team of PJSC "Rosneft", OJSC "Oboronenergo" and State electricity production association of Belarus "Belenergo", took part in the competitions held under the auspices of the campaign "Engineer Year 2016-2017", was attended by.

Throughout the week, from 22 to 29 July, at the traning centre of PJSC "Lenenergo" in Gatchina district the competition participants demonstrated their theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including working at height, repairing a 110 kV current transformer, extinguishing switchgear that caught fire, freed the victim (dummy) with electric shock and provided first aid, repaired a 110 kV vacuum circuit breaker and disconnector.

Electricians for maintenance of cable grids performed installation of a 35 kV cable termination and installation of a 10 kV cable joint sleeve on a power single-core cable with XLPE insulation.

At the Worldskills stage the power engineers performed their assignments for the following modules: installation of a microprocessor protection terminal of a 10 kV line, checking electrical characteristics of the microprocessor terminal, installation of the cable connection between the terminals and checking the interaction of terminals a 10 kV entry. All participating teams of the competitions showed high professionalism.

IDGC of Centre’s team headed by the company’s Deputy Chief Engineer for Operations Anton Gerasimov, which included employees of Belgorodenergo and Smolenskenergo, according to the results of the competitions performed well. Its members became the fourth in the Corporate Championship under the Worldskills methodology and sixth at the stages of repair and maintenance of cable grids.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the competitions, Director General of PJSC "Rosseti" Oleg Budargin stressed: "Our main value is the team of highly skilled and responsible professionals. I am particularly pleased to note the participation in the today’s event of the best representatives of the production staff of "Rosseti", who have been defined on the basis of objective indicators in the course of the competitions. The head of "Rosseti" also noted that in order to improve the skills of employees the company has created more than 30 corporate training centres across the country, which annually train over 50 thousand employees.
