IDGC of Centre was awarded a medal of Kursk Korensk Fair

IDGC of Centre was awarded a medal of the XVI Interregional Kursk Korensk fair, held from 1 to 3 July 2016 in the Kursk region. The medal and diploma of the Fair was handed over to First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin in a solemn ceremony by Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov.

The award testifies the great contribution to the socio-economic development of the region, increase its investment attractiveness, revival of national traditions of the Kursk region.

IDGC of Centre is a permanent participant of the Korensk Fair, known in the country and abroad as an effective platform for establishing and developing economic relations and promotion of products and companies in Central Russia and the near abroad. This year’s event brought together participants from 36 regions of Russia and 25 countries of near and far abroad. The updated exposition of IDGC of Centre is located in one of the central pavilions of the fair - "Regions of Russia and the CIS". Specialists of the Kursk branch of the company presented here the core activities of the Company, value-added services available to them and new technologies being implemented at power facilities. The greatest interest among the exhibition visitors was stirred by a layout of a single section of "smart grids", clearly demonstrating the presence and interaction of all components, from a power plant and a substation and ending with smart grid equipment - reclosers, boosters, pole-mounted transformer substations, automated outdoor lighting and other elements, ensuring the reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers.

"Recently the interest in concepts of "smart grids" and "smart city" has passed from the stage of discussing to the practical implementation," stressed First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin. "In regions where the company operates we have been implementing new solutions in the electricity sector for about five years, and they are aimed primarily at improving the reliability of electric grid facilities, energy efficiency, energy saving and quality of energy metering."

Expositions and a quiz on energy saving of IDGC of Centre interested visitors. At an interactive panel anyone could test his or her knowledge by choosing an answer to questions related to energy saving. All participants of the quiz, besides recommendations how to reduce energy consumption in the home and, accordingly, costs for its payment, received gifts from the power company.

And for younger visitors to the fair within the promotion "Territory of Safety", aimed at organizing the safe stay of children in the country rest homes in the summer, Kurskenergo’s experts organized drawing contests on the asphalt "Energy through the eyes of children" and "I choose safety". The children with zeal drew with crayons, pencils poles, power lines, homes with lighted windows, electricians at work. And then in a specially equipped tent they told the power engineers rules of safe behaviour in the out-of-doors and at home. At the end of the contests all the participants were awarded with prizes and books "Energolandiya" with the basic rules of electrical safety.

For the period of the fair the Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre has taken additional measures to ensure the reliability of power supply of pavilions. Around the clock duty of emergency repair crews has been organized, additional sources of supply have been installed, and special vehicles are on constant available. All this also allowed to provide participants and guests of the fair with favourable conditions for negotiations. According to the organizers of the fair during its operation 11 major deals at hundreds of millions rubles were signed.
