Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division, headed by First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer Igor Polyakov, participated in the held in the Tambov region show of readiness of forces and means of the regional territorial subsystem of the Unified state system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations (the Subsystem) for the fire-dangerous period of 2016. The company was represented at the review by a crew for repair of overhead lines of Tambov section of the power line service. The power engineers showed special equipment used by them in the aftermath of failures and emergencies: crew vehicles, a mobile crane, an aerial platform, and mobile lighting systems "Light towers".
During the show there were also demonstration exercises to simulate actions of the forces and means of the Subsystem of the Tambov region in the liquidation of wildfires. Tambovenergo’s employees took part in them together with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tambov region, the forest administration of the region, the Tambov garrison, municipalities, etc.
According to the narrative of the training, due to the wrongful conduct of unscrupulous citizens the fire started in the forest area. Practicing actions to eliminate it began immediately. Participants of the training activities notified and gathered officials included in the regional crisis management centre. And then they worked out actions to bring the forces involved in the mode of high alert, assess the current situation and project its development and make organizational solutions for the elimination of the emergency situation.
According to the legend, the fire front spread widely and damaged a power line, included in the service area of Tambovenergo, resulting in de-energized consumers of the village of Goreloye. The power engineers responded to the alarm promptly, electricity supply was restored in a short time. The concerted actions of the representatives of the branch were evaluated as positive.
As a result of the review and exercises the professionalism of Tambovenergo’s employees and their demonstrated high level of preparedness to work in emergency situations were given a positive assessment of the organizers.
"Some qualitative improvement in the level of work in the field of civil defense and response has been recently noticed in the Tambov region. Precise coordination of actions of the authorities, EMERCOM, power companies ensures reliable operation of utility systems, power equipment, and uninterrupted power supply to consumers," stressed the deputy head of the administration, the chairman of the commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and provision of fire safety of the Tambov region Oleg Ivanov.
