IDGC of Centre reduces electric energy losses in the grids

At the end of 2015 IDGC of Centre lowered the actual energy losses in electric grids down to 5,850.3 million KWh, which represents 9.35% of the supply of electric energy to the grid. Compared to 2014 the decline in electricity losses in the grids of the company amounted to 98.9 million kWh. The savings in monetary terms amounted to more than 190 million rubles.

In accordance with the approved Business Plan of IDGC of Centre, planned power losses were taken into account in the amount of 5,910.0 million KWh, or 9.44% of total supply to the grid, thus the reduction of losses at the end of 2015 amounted to 59.6 million KWh or 0.09% against the plan. The reduction of losses in 2015 was made possible as a result of organizational and technological activities of the Program to decrease electric energy losses in power grids of IDGC of Centre.

Work on the reduction of losses in the grids is one of the priorities of the company. To do this, IDGC of Centre every year approves the Program of measures to reduce electricity losses, implements new technologies, while reconstructing new energy saving equipment is applied. In addition, the AMR system (automated information and measuring system of commercial power metering) gets improved and other measures are taken aimed at reducing losses and improving the reliability of electricity supply to consumers.
