IDGC of Centre leased power grid facilities of the city of Kimry

The Tver branch of IDGC of Centre leased electric networks of the city of Kimry - one of the largest in the Tver region, thus extending the service area in the south-east of the region. The lease contract is valid from January 1, 2016.

The start of operation of Tverenergo in Kimry is the next step in the implementation of the policy of consolidation of power grid assets, which IDGC of Centre consistently pursues. As part of the concluded contract the power company will monitor the status electric networks of the district centre and gradually implement new technologies, promoting the development of the entire energy system of the Upper Volga.

"Several years the power grid facilities of the city of Kimry passed from hand to hand of various regional grid organizations. To put things in order it is not enough to get the facility in use, it takes time to understand and outline a plan of work," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division director Mikhail Pilavov. "Together with the material production base "Tverenergo" took over the staff working at the electric grid facilities of the district centre. Now, when residents of the city have a single point of responsibility for the power supply, we expect some positive result."
