Rector of the National Research University "MPEI" Nicolay Rogalev sent a letter to General Director of PJSC "Rosseti" Oleg Budargin, in which he expressed gratitude for the fruitful cooperation established in the framework of the General Agreement on Strategic Partnership between MPEI and PJSC "Rosseti".
As noted in the letter, in 2015 one such successful projects was the project of creation on the site of a branch of "NRU MPEI" in the city of Konakovo - Konakovo Power Engineering College of the second phase of the training grid centre, which was designed, built and timely opened with the joint efforts of IDGC of Centre and MPEI. On the site of this facility college students safely acquire practical skills with real power grid equipment.
"Another important step in the implementation of the joint work plans between IDGC of Centre and NRU "MPEI" is conducting R&D on innovative technologies of training of operating power grid personnel based on virtual reality technology. The technology is really advanced and has no known analogues in the world. I hope that the results of the research and development will be widely used in the practice of training units of companies of the electric grid complex, and obtained in the course of work experience will be used effectively in future joint development," says the letter.
