Power engineers of IDGC of Centre are ready to work in bad weather conditions

According to Roshydromet and EMERCOM of Russia, 12 January 2016 in the southern regions of the Central Federal District within the service area of IDGC of Centre, worsening weather is expected. In this regard, the company promptly took additional measures to ensure reliable power supply to consumers.

Branches of IDGC of Centre, working in these regions of the Central Federal District, introduced state of high alert. Crisis management centres were set up supervising the operational situation and the work of power facilities. Fire safety measures were reinforced. Performance of equipment and backup power sources was checked, and availability of equipment, materials and tools was ensured. Emergency reserve was restocked.

Staff of Distribution Zones of the branches started to operate in the enhanced mode: 125 operational and repair crews with a total number of 573 people, equipped with 124 specialized vehicles, and 22 mobile crews (120 people and 38 vehicles) are on duty around the clock. If necessary, another 426 crews of the branches composed of more than 2,250 people and more than 720 specialized vehicles can be promptly brought to elimination of technological failures.

Interaction with territorial units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the regional and municipal executive authorities, branches of PJSC "FGC UES", and regional power grid organizations was set up.

Together with the leadership of municipalities the power engineers do work to inform the public about the need to respect the rules of electrical safety in case of outages. Citizens are given Reminders for consumers during power outages with contact information for communication with operators of Distribution Zones. In case of bad weather for rapid response to calls received from consumers the Distribution Zones are ready to attract additional employees.
