Power engineers of IDGC of Centre introduced enhanced mode of operation due to bad weather in four regions of the service area

3 December 2015

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions in four regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre, the crisis management centre of the company decided to introduce the operation mode "Increased readiness" in the Belgorod, Voronezh and Kursk regions. Power engineers of the Lipetsk region have also been put to the enhanced mode of operation.

To date, the repair work is being carried out by more than 160 crews, a total of more than 500 people and 268 specialized vehicles.

The work is being performed around the clock for the rapid restoration of power supply in the regions affected by disaster strikes.

The hot line of power engineers operates around the clock at 8-800-50-50-115.

Please, be reminded that a strong cyclone, covering the territory of the Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk and Lipetsk regions from 2 December, has caused power supply interruptions to consumers in a number of districts. The reason for outages was wire breakage caused by sticking wet snow on power lines and strong squally wind.
