On 11 June 2015 the VI Games of Power Engineers of IDGC of Centre finished. For two days 500 athletes-power engineers of 11 branches and the executive office of the company competed for the title of the strongest in seven sports - volleyball, football, athletics, swimming, tennis, weightlifting and shooting.
As a result of the honest and uncompromising game the overall team championship of the Games was won by the team of Lipetskenergo. Silver medal of the sports games went to athletes of Voronezhenergo, and Belgorod power engineers received bronze.
In the team standing in athletics the first step of the podium was taken by Voronezhenergo’s athletes. The second place - the team of Tverenergo, the third - Lipezkenergo.
The winner of the competition in weightlifting was a representative of the team of Voronezhenergo Ivan Brovdiy. Second place was taken by an athlete of Kurskenergo Gennady Anokhin. And third - an athlete from Lipetskenergo Pavel Skuratov.
The team of Bryanskenergo won in the intense volleyball struggle, Lipetskenergo’s players took the second. 3rd place of honor went to Yarenergo.
The competitions in table tennis in doubles ended with a confident victory of representatives of Tverenergo. Second place was taken by athletes of Kostromaenergo, third went to Kurskenergo’s representatives.
In swimming swimmers of Belgorodenergo won, Yaroslavl power engineers took silver and bronze went to Smolensk power engineers.
In the shooting 1st place in the team standings was taken by the team of Lipetskenergo, 2nd place by athletes of Tverenergo, and 3rd by the team from Kurskenergo.
Team games in mini-football, the outcome of which was determined by a penalty shoot ended with a brilliant victory of Belgorod players with a score of 3:1. Lipetskenergo and Voronezhenergo are also in the top three teams.
Awarding of winners of the Games took place during a solemn ceremony at the SC "Metallurg".
First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin congratulated the athletes on the end of the sports festival.

Deputy General Director for HR Management and Organizational Design of IDGC of Centre, Chairperson of the organizing committee of the Games Inna Gromova joined his words.
"I will not say that the strongest won, because the purpose of the Games is not victory in the individual competition and team standing. Our main objective is unity of power engineers of Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Centre. It was a great sporting spectacle - we have seen real sports passion and uncompromising struggle. I express my deep gratitude to the leadership of Lipetskenergo, for hosting this sporting event at the Lipetsk land. On my part, let me say that we will continue to hold such events. I am sure that new victories are ahead of us!" she stressed.
Please, be reminded that the VI Sports Games IDGC of Centre took place under the auspices of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The power engineers devoted their sporting achievements to heroism of those who in the dreaded forties bravely fought the enemy on the front lines and worked selflessly in the rear, helping to approach the Victory.
