July 23 competitions of professional skills of crews of electrical equipment diagnostics services will take place in the premises of the 110/10kV substation “University” of IDGC of Centre — Lipetskenergo division.
Competitions of professional skills are held in the Company every year, but the first time in its history experts of diagnostics services will take part in the professional competitions.
“Today, IDGC of Centre pays huge attention to the development of electrical equipment diagnostics — stresses Deputy General Director for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Sergey Shumakher. — The Company allocates substantial investments to modernize the fleet of diagnostics equipment. The use of new technologies helps monitor the status of electrical equipment to solve the strategic objective of improving management efficiency for the electric distribution grid sector, to ensure reliable operation of electrical equipment and power supply to consumers”.
The competitions in Lipetsk will be held in six stages: within the first phase participants will demonstrate knowledge of applicable rules, regulations and standards on the software complex “ASOP Expert”, secondly — they will release a victim with electric shock during the cable test in the bay and provide first aid. In the third stage preventive tests of a separately installed sealed 110 kV transformer bushing with paper-oil insulation will be made. The fourth stage involves preventive testing a transformer with the issuance of conclusions about its technical condition, the fifth — crews will locate a fault on a 10 kV paper insulated cable line. The sixth stage consists of two tasks: measuring the resistance of the grounding device of a 110 kV substation and checking the resistance of the loop “phase-zero” in the 0.4 kV network.
As part of the competitions the panel of judges headed by Oleg Rochagov, Head of Technical Inspection Department of IDGC of Centre, will also assess the appearance of the teams, staffing of crew vehicles with necessary protective tools, instruments and devices.
In 2012, for the first time based on the distribution electric grid companies, which are parts of IDGC Holding, including in IDGC of Centre, there will be qualifying stages of the All-Russian Competition of Professional Skills “Best in Profession” in the nomination “Best Electrician”. The competition among blue-collars is held in accordance with the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, at the All-Russian level it is also conducted for the first time.
Most branches of IDGC of Centre have already held their qualifying stages of the professional competition of crews of diagnostics services, as well as of the all-Russian Competition “Best in Profession”, to which crews of electricians of regional grid companies were invited and winners were determined.
“This year we are holding unique competitions — stresses Sergey Shumakher. — For the first time the domestic professional competition has gone considerably wider and gained both industry-wide and federal importance. Thus, we can not only compete with specialist of diagnostics of other grid companies, share experiences and ideas, but feel that the energy sector — a unified system, in which experts from different companies can work together for the benefit of consumers”.
