Power engineers of IDGC of Centre are ready to ensure reliable energy supply in the regions where the Company operates on Election Day December 4

IDGC of Centre on the day of election of deputies of the State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the sixth convocation on December 4, 2011 has set to operation mode of increased responsibility to ensure smooth and reliable operation of the electric grid of the Company.

Over 9 000 polling stations and facilities of the election campaign are connected to the power grid of 11 branches of IDGC of Centre. To ensure correct operation of electrical equipment during the election the health of primary and backup power supply circuits of branches of IDGC of Centre has been checked. All branches have set special control over the operation of power equipment, power lines, ensured operating and maintenance personnel to be on duty, taken measures to enhance fire safety. Access to sites of branches has been tightened, alarm systems have been checked, a set of measures to ensure security and counter-terrorism protection of power facilities has been implemented.

All polling stations have the placed Direct Power Hot Line toll free phone number: 8800 50 50 115. On the Election Day, December 4 50 operators of the Contact Center of IDGC of Centre will be working. “In case of problems with the quality of electricity or its interruption at polling stations, please, call 8-800-5050-115; while you hear the operator’s greeting, please, switch your phone to tone mode and dial 1355. The call to the indicated number is free from both mobile and landline phones of any region of Russia”, — said Head of customer relationship management Department Olga Lezhneva.

December 2, 2011 the power grid equipment has been put back into operation that was earlier switched off for its repair according to planned requests. Routine maintenance, resulting in some weakening of power supply circuits, is prohibited at this period.

“Power engineers of IDGC Center will supply electricity not only to polling stations, but also to district election commissions, radio and television, offices of authorities and local governments. Particular attention will be paid to the polling stations with electronic voting, as well as all of facilities during the vote counting. Extra operation personnel will be on duty on December 4, members of the operational headquarters offices to be on duty have been assigned. I will personally monitor the situation with the electricity supply in the service area of the Company”, — said Deputy General Director for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Sergey Shumakher.
